Are you looking for an alternative to the scene? Well, you just found it.

At HAGG (Halifax Gay Group) we don't have loud music or flashing lights but we do have a lot of fun every Wednesday evening. Many of our events are based on popular TV quizzes and game shows; the aim is to have a good night out and a laugh with other gay men. So, if you don't take your self too seriously, and you do want to have a good time, why not come along and join the fun?

If I come along to HAGG what will I do?

We start at 8pm with coffee and a chat and then at 8.30pm we begin the evening's event

Some recent events have included

Call My Bluff
Planning Meeting (anyone can volunteer to organize an evenings entertainment)
Quiz (a bit like a pub quiz)
Discussion
Survivor (game)
Slide show, picture quiz
Give us a clue (game)
Bingo

At 9.30 we go to a local pub (where the landlord has made us very welcome, which is nice ;-) to drink and socialize until about 10.30-11.00pm.

The Halifax Area Gay Group meets every Wednesday evening at 8pm near the center of Halifax in (Calderdale) West Yorkshire.

"Who can honestly say they don't want to meet new people?"
But bars, pubs and the gay scene are not always the easiest places to meet new friends.

HAGG is a social group most people come here to socialize and for the friendship on offer, however many have also met their partners here too.

What if?
I am Tall - short, young - old, chubby - skinny, black - white, love the gay scene - hate the gay scene.... HAGG is about socializing and friendship everyone is welcome.

The average attendance is about 10 - 20 men. Some people come along every week others come when they can make it or when there is an event which they like the sound of.

How much does it cost?
We charge £1 to cover our expenses but your first evening is free.

New members are always welcome
So if you would like to meet some new people, fancy a good laugh (we don't take our selves too seriously) and have time to spare on Wednesday evenings, why not give HAGG a try you've nothing to lose and you could have a lot of fun.
